India Mission Trip
The following is from an email received on February 7, 2006 from Judy, Kathryn and Jeff after their arrival in India, to visit and see the good works of the Emmanual Hospital Association... Hello All, We just arrived at Utrala after a long drive. We spent yesterday in Fatehpur. They are doing wonderful things there. Judy’s lecture on prolonged labor was well received. The nurses were very interested in the subject and learned valuable information. We toured the hospital at Fatehpur, they are doing a lot of construction and updating their facility. They had a dedication ceremony for a new ward and laboratory. It’s amazing how they function with so little resources. God’s love goes a long way. The microscope we donated has allowed them to keep their tuberculosis clinic running, They were faced with it closing because they didn’t have an adequate microscope. They have become a WHO recognized TB clinic. We went to an alternative service in Delhi on Sunday that would make Ray and John proud, they had electric guitars, drums and contemporary music. The people from EHA have all been wonderful and inviting. They are keeping us well fed with delicious (and spicy) food. Their faith is very strong and they are an inspiration. Kathryn and Judy have become experts at the bucket bath while Jeff has enjoyed cold showers (no pictures included!). Thanks for your continued prayers, please keep them coming! Love, Judy Kathryn Jeff
